The loss of an eye is a traumatizing event. To minimize the aesthetic and psychological damage which it engenders, the eye prostheses were focusing from the XVIth century.

The eye prosthesis allows all those who suffer from the loss of an eye or from an aesthetic deficit on an eyeball to limit the traumatism which results from it. From the birth and without age limit, we can thus have appeal to an eye prosthesis, further to a surgical operation, a disease or an accident.

The equipment is particularly recommended for the young children. Besides the aesthetic necessity, the eye prosthesis allows the orbitaire cavity to grow correctly. By renewing regularly the prosthesis, the face of the child so keeps its morphological symmetry.
